Stonebwoy is set to leave Zylofon Media after the revision of his contract
BET award-winner and Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste, Stonebwoy is set to quit, Zylofon Media early this year.
Reports in the media indicated the award-winning Reggae Dancehall artiste was not happy with his current record label and had intended to leave in breach of the contract according close sources but was persuaded to stay on while his contract was being reviewed.
Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Zylofon Media, Mr. Arnold Asamoah Baidoo confirmed on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm that the artiste is likely to quit the label early this year when his contract expires.
Stonebwoy’s contract was reviewed from four years to a year. In May 2019 his contract with Zylofon Music will expire. But all other artistes’ contracts remain at four year”, he explained.
According to him, the discussion to review contracts of some artistes has come up for discussions but the Record label reviewed only that of Stonebwoy’s.
Stonebwoay was the only artiste who requested for revision of his contract with the entertainment giants, Zylofon Music stressed
Zylofon Media, however, has refused to disclose exactly what informed the management of the label to review Stonebwoy’s contract.
