#GILLYWEB GOSSIP: Idris Elba Launches Music Label

The Luther actor is no stranger to the music world, having released his own EP, Big Man, in 2006, as well as having an Ibiza DJ residency.

Now he's decided to throw his weight behind some of his favorite bands.

Elba has set up his own label, 7Wallace Music and his first signing is French-Cameroonian artist and Diddy associate James BKS.

The 45-year-old told Billboard: “James is a rare find. His hip-hop sensibilities transfer to the other music he makes, he’s a nice person to work with and is gonna be a strong artist for the future.

"It’s a huge move for 7Wallace, a small indie label."

A small indie label with a millionaire boss, mind.

James BKS’ debut single Kwlele is set for release next month.
